Overnight freezing rain and ice accretion on roads, sidewalks and in school yards has made travel and access difficult.
Access to side roads is extremely limited for school buses throughout the region.
Forecast calls for freezing rain to continue through the morning until temperatures rise and precipitation changes to rain this afternoon.
HRM crews & HRCE contractors will be clearing roads, sidewalks, and school yards through the day.
